3 Reasons That Today is the Day to Make an Appointment for a Dental Cleaning

If you’ve been putting off making an appointment for your dental cleaning, you’re in good company. In a perfect world, every patient of California Dental Group would visit every six months but often life simply gets in the way. That said, there are some really important reasons that right now is the right time to make your appointment.

  1. Don’t miss out on employer benefit or flexible spending accounts

  2. Believe it or not, we’re almost ¾ of the way through the year. If you have money sitting in your flexible spending account, or if your dental insurance policy runs by the calendar year, then you know you need to use it or you’ll lose it. Many people wait until December and realize they’re almost out of time. While we always try to get our patients in when it’s convenient for them, the end of the year can be very busy. Use your benefits now before you’re rushed.

  3. You’re only going to get busier

  4. For many families, back to school time is the best time to make dental appointments and other medical appointments. Why? Because offices have more flexible schedules when kids are in school and less likely to be having their medical needs seen to. It’s no surprise why the end of the year is busy (because people are trying to use up their benefits) or why the beginning of the year can be busy (because patients have their benefits renewed at the beginning of the year). That leaves from the end of August to the middle of November as the perfect time for many people.

  5. It’s cheaper to head off a problem than wait for it to become a crisis

Are you afraid to make an appointment because you’re pretty sure you have cavities or other dental problems? Here’s one thing to remember: It’s never going to get cheaper or easier. In fact, if we catch tooth decay early on, there are many ways we can treat it without having to resort to root canals or crowns. The earlier you get to us, the better we can serve you. We are committed to the health of every patient and will present you with your options after your dental cleaning and exam.
