The 5 Signs That Could Demonstrate You Have a Cavity

If you eat a sweet food and notice that one tooth hurts immediately afterward then you may be dealing with a cavity.

  6. If you can actually see a hole in your tooth then there is little question that you have a cavity. This is most common in people who have cavities in their front teeth, as it can be harder to see them in the back teeth. If you have a tooth that’s been hurting, look at it to see if you notice holes or pits. If you do, then you are looking at a cavity and should not hesitate to contact your dentist.

  8. There are many reasons you can have stains on your teeth and having a cavity is not the most common reason. However, they can be a sign that you have a cavity. If you have stains that you cannot easily blame on coffee, smoking, etc., then they are worth talking to your dentist about.

  9. You have pain when you bite down
  10. If biting down on one side of your mouth hurts, then you are likely dealing with a cavity. This can be a sign of another dental emergency, such as a cracked tooth or a filling that’s come loose. However, any of these issues are worth a trip to the dentist.
