La Habra CA
The city of La Habra CA was founded in 1896, and it retained its name in recognition of the Rancho Canada de La Habra which had previously occupied the land. La Habra CA was not incorporated until 1925 however. By 1928, it had become the largest avocado growing center in southern California. In large part this was due to the fact that the Hass avocado cultivar was developed in its sister city La Habra Heights. Today La Habra CA is a residential city.
