Pilot trial shows new candy is effective in reducing levels of cavity-causing bacteria
For years, we’ve all been told that candy is bad for our teeth. Now, however, researchers are seeking to turn this old perception on its head by developing a sugar-free candy that actually fights cavities. The results of a very promising pilot trial of their cavity-preventing candy were recently published in the journal Probiotics and Antimicrobial Proteins.
