Antibacterial orthodontic cement offers promise for improving oral health of patients wearing traditional braces.
Keeping teeth clean while wearing braces has long been a challenge. Plaque bacteria often build up around the orthodontic brackets, causing demineralized lesions in tooth enamel. Fortunately, a new antibacterial orthodontic cement promises to aid patients in their efforts to control the development of plaque around their brackets and prevent enamel erosion and tooth decay.
